ULTA needed help establishing an efficient and agile operation to drive value through the brand’s eCommerce channel and ease demands through seamless development and product management processes to support the eCommerce team. ​

The ULTA eCommerce team struggled to roll out new features and remain competitive – their process consisted of several handoffs across resources and functional groups, build requirements that were misinterpreted resulting in defects, and little collaboration between development and business areas.


ULTA engaged with Avionos because of the firm’s extensive PMO and process improvement experience. The Avionos team was asked to assess ULTA’s current state processes and provide recommendations to improve the brand’s eCommerce implementation processes.​


Avionos completed a process assessment for the eCommerce team, including current state processes for the business, user experience, creative, development, testing and development operations activities. Avionos also provided agile transformation recommendations within the ULTA eCommerce team. These included changes to the team structure, the addition of missing roles, and overall process improvements to enhance team collaboration and deliver a more quality product.​
