Brenntag North America, a global leader in chemical distribution, wanted to create a new solution that provided self-service and omni-channel capabilities for ordering, documentation, and invoicing. They needed to improve transparency and operational efficiency at every touchpoint, and launch quickly in four key markets: Canada, Latin America, US Chemicals, and US Lubricants. ​


Avionos implemented Salesforce B2B Commerce which ran natively off of Brenntag’s existing Salesforce CRM. The solution was also integrated with IBM Cloud Solutions to help customers receive real-time pricing, inventory, availability information. Avionos created a common code base with shared features for all four sites, enabling faster launches and easy global changes without development time. The first site launched in 6 months; thanks to the code base, subsequent sites launched in 8 weeks. These sites each have unique branding, localized languages, currency, and tax information for seamless customer use.


Within 6 months, Brenntag saw an $11 million boost in revenue. Customers can now access documentation, place orders, complete buy backs, and review order history through the customer portals.​ Each international site is customized to include local languages, currency, and tax information for a seamless customer experience. This B2B Commerce solution also integrated with third-party CMS systems and 3 ERPs.
